Learning to Trust Him Daily
Trusting God isn’t a one-time decision for me; it’s a choice I make every single morning. When life throws unexpected challenges my way, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. But looking at the Sacred Heart reminds me to surrender my fears and rely on His strength instead of my own. I truly believe He is guiding my steps, even when the path ahead looks uncertain.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart... and he will make your paths straight." — Proverbs 3:5–6
From a Sketchbook to a Mid-Century Vision
This piece grew out of my own quiet moments of reflection. While I was deeply inspired by the many artists who have drawn this sacred symbol so beautifully over centuries, I knew my approach was always going to be a little different. I wanted my version to carry a distinct touch of mid-century modern style, blending timeless reverence with retro geometric flair.
Sitting at my desk, I began mapping out rough pencil sketches to balance traditional elements, like the sword and crown of thorns, with modern shapes. Moving to my tablet, I built clean vector lines, bold retro color blocks, and glowing light rays. Every stroke felt like a prayer in motion.
A Constant Reminder of Infinite Love
The final artwork, with its burning flames and high-contrast backdrop, serves as a constant reminder of Jesus' ultimate sacrifice and infinite love. Whatever trial comes next, I know He is walking right beside me, directing my way.
